Am I been away for so long?
This year is only my first time to spend Christmas season in the Philippines after almost a decade. During those years at this time of the year, it is not only the decors that reminds your of the Christmas season but you could actually feel it.
First, the cold breeze will remind you of the season. Now, it seems like summer. Is it the effect of climate change?
Secondly, Christmas carols are played everywhere. Not that the carols will represent the true essence of Christmas but they are reminders of the coming of the Savior Jesus Christ.
Lastly, Christmas is the season of giving and sharing. It is not the materials things that I am talking about. A smile is more than enough.
Do Filipinos losing touch on the true message of Christmas? I am hoping not.
