As a proud Filipino, I admire Manny Pacquiao. But the success of Pacquiao got its paradox too. After the last fight he won, I told to myself he should retire while he is still in limelight. Manny Pacquiao already got everything, fame, money, politics, good family and everything a man wants in its life.
Money (Manny) is not everything. Now that he lost by knockout to Marquez, his fame was totally tarnished. The pambansang kamao
is now lost in limbo. The people will forget very easily for losers despite their achievements and for making the Philippines famous.
As the saying goes, “Strike while the iron is hot”. But if you overdo it, you will get a brittle metal, breaking into pieces rather than creating a quality product. You should know when to stop. Manny Pacquiao should put that in mind.
Note: Don’t tell me that a Pacquiao-Marquez 5 is inevitable.
