During my flight back to the Philippines after more than half-a-decade of being away, I was amuzed to see that the entertainment system of the Boeing 777 airplane got a Linux operating system.
How was I able to learna bout it?
The flight crew have rebooted the entertainment system and I was able to see the Penguin Linux logo on the screen. I was not able to see which distro due to the poor text resolution of the seat entertainment screen, nevertheless, I was a Linux OS.
All I was expecting a more popular OS on the plane but having a Linux on such a prestigous airplane just mean one thing, Linux got the “IT”.
