australiaAustralia will be cutting 18,500 skilled migrant workers for the next 2 years beginning June this year to secure jobs for local workers. This excludes jobs in health and information technology.

This action of the Australian government will have a big impact on Filipino skilled migrants. It has a good and bad impact on those wanting to work in Australia. Good as this is a forewarning and bad as it is cross-out from a possible destination of Filipino migrant workers.

Aspiring Filipino skilled workers who want to migrate to Australia need to be vigilant as any possible job offers down under need to be checked and double checked to avoid being victimized by unscrupulous individuals who takes advantages of Filipinos wanting to work abroad.
