In one of the meetings I recently attended, the safety moment was about circumventing company policies just to get the job done. This is a dangerous attitude. It does not mean that if it has always been that done this way in similar projects that it will also be done this way in this project. This reminds me of one of my peers before. He always reasons out, ‘I have always done it this way, why would it be done another way this time?’.
Project conditions are not always the same despite being similar. Policies are put in placed for a purpose. Compliance to policies is a must. No work is so important if safety is compramised.
