Fast Track Schedule is Not a Reason to Bypass Procedures

In some instances, we get involved in fast track projects. Clients will say, “I needed it yesterday”. Do whatever you can to deliver the project.

A fast track project in itself is a sign of poor planning. There may have been some external influences on decisions why the project need to be executed more rapidly than usual but this is not a reason to bypass procedures.

Procedures were put in placed for a purpose. Procedures were not created for the sake of having records but these documents are very important during and after the life of the project. It will protect you and the company from future legal actions.

Fast track project or not, stick to procedures, they are there for a purpose.
