The world economy is still recovering from the GFC. More infrastructure projects are being put into the drawing table creating better opportunities for job hunters.
If you have lost your job because of the GFC, probably you are currently working on a job you don’t like, just to make both ends meet or you might still have no job at all. If you are a Gen Y, then changing job may be as easy as 123. It would be different if you are reaching your golden years or middle aged individual.
Job hunting on your golden years is crucial as some employers, despite anti-discriminatory laws, still favor younger job seekers.
It would be another story if you are technically capable as employers are more confident on matured individuals than younger ones.
Golden years job hunting is real tough, but if it makes you happy, then go for it.
